About

Midwest Nationals Baseball is a summer baseball organization that seeks to provide opportunities for talented baseball players to further develop by playing the best competition from across the country.  We are based in Springfield, Missouri, and are able to draw players from southwest Missouri, eastern Oklahoma, northwest Arkansas and southeast Kansas.

The Nationals started play in 2002 and are proud charter members of both Premier Baseball and Mid-America Baseball.

Our teams are largely selected through open tryouts that normally occur in August each year for the following summer season.  Normally, we will conduct a tryout near Tulsa, Oklahoma, as well as a second tryout in Springfield, Missouri.  The “Tryouts” menu on this website contains more information about our tryout process.

Alumni

Our alumni list continues to grow as each graduating class of Nationals move on to all different levels of baseball.  Our former players have earned baseball scholarships at NCAA Division I and II, NAIA, and NJCAA member schools. In addition, 20 former Nats have signed professional baseball contracts since 2002.  The following list includes our 2002-2009 senior classes:

  • 68 NCAA Division I players
  • 33 MLB draft picks (28 different players)
  • 20 minor league players (18 current players)
  • 14 Area Code selections (13 different players)
  • 4 Cape Cod League All-Stars
  • 2 former MLB 1st round draft picks
