DBAT Mustangs OK outdone by Stepp and the Nationals 18U Blue, 5-1
July 12, 2012 – Bolivar, MO
Andrew Stepp went 3-3 at the plate, helping the Nationals 18U Blue to a 5-1 victory over DBAT Mustangs OK on Thursday at Bolivar, Missouri.
He singled in the third and fifth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.
Evan Payne got the win for the Nationals 18U Blue. He allowed one run over 6 1/3 innings. He struck out one, walked two and surrendered seven hits.
Nationals 18U Blue closer Barrett White put away the final two outs to record the save.
DBAT Mustangs OK managed to score one run in the second inning on an RBI single by Paulino.
The Nationals 18U Blue went up for good in the fifth, scoring two runs on an error and an RBI single by Jacob May.
The Nationals 18U Blue added two more runs in the bottom of the sixth. Chance Wolf kicked things off with a single, scoring White. That was followed up by Stepp‘s double, bringing home Wolf.
