Early lead gives the Midwest Nationals easy victory over the Rawlings Titans 17, 19-2

The Midwest Nationals shut the door early on the Rawlings Titans 17, capturing a 19-2 victory on Friday at Timberland High.

Twelve runs in the first three innings allowed the Midwest Nationals to put the game away early.

A wild pitch in the first inning and an RBI single by Breckin Williams, a sacrifice fly by Cameron O’Brien, an RBI triple by Spencer Johnson, and an RBI triple by Jake O’Brien in the second inning fueled the Midwest Nationals’ offense early.Corey Hassel had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. Hassel doubled in the first and fourth innings.

The Midwest Nationals easily handled the Rawlings Titans 17 pitching as seven hitters combined for 16 hits, 17 RBIs and 17 runs scored.

Alex Wise threw one inning of scoreless ball for the Midwest Nationals.

Matt Brown had great control, throwing strikes on 35 of his 59 pitches. Brown collected five strike outs and walked three for the Midwest Nationals.
