Eierman stars as the Midwest Nationals defeat KC Select, 17-14

An excellent effort by Johnny Eierman led the Midwest Nationals to a 17-14 win in seven innings over KC Select on Friday at Lincoln.

Eierman blasted two home runs for the Midwest Nationals. Eierman went 4-4 in the game with five RBIs and four runs scored. Eierman homered in the sixth and seventh innings.

The two teams combined for 31 runs and 36 hits, including 13 extra base hits.

The Midwest Nationals hit four home runs in the win. Home runs for the Midwest Nationals came when Tyler Spoon homered in the second inning, Cameron O’Brien homered in the third inning, and Eierman homered in the sixth and seventh innings.

PlayerA racked up three RBIs on one hit for KC Select. PlayerA homered in the sixth inning.

The Midwest Nationals hammered KC Select pitching as seven hitters had a field day, combining for 23 hits, 15 RBIs and 13 runs scored.

Alex Wise tossed 3 2/3 innings of relief without allowing a run, striking out five while giving up two hits and one walk.
