Randy Merryman
Merryman, who co-founded the Midwest Nationals in 2001, has earned a reputation in the Midwest as a coach who quickly establishes winning programs and develops players.
Randy’s career record as Nationals head coach is 298-151 (.664) and 433-244 overall (.640). Merryman was the winning manager for the Premier North Division in the 2007 and 2008 Premier Senior Division All-Star Games. Managed Team Premier in the 2007 International Invitational versus Chinese Taipei, Team Canada and Team USA. Under the Merryman’s direction, the Nationals won the MidAmerica World Series in 2009 & 2010.
Merryman has had over 200 of his former players sign to play college baseball, 40 players drafted with 30 players reaching professional baseball through the 2009 season, including Major League pitchers Scott Elbert (Los Angeles Dodgers) and Matt Palmer (Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim).
Randy is the Midwest Regional director for Rawlings Prospects Baseball that serves 17 states from Canada to Mexico including: Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
Also the owner of Balls-n-Strikes, a 10,000 sq. ft. indoor baseball training facility located in Nixa, MO (just south of Springfield), that is committed to providing high quality baseball instruction for player’s ages 7-18.
Merryman resides in Bolivar, Missouri with his wife Dawn and their sons Grant, Will, and Kellen.
